Ukraine maintained their spot at the top of the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup medal table with another gold on day five in Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates.

Iryna Shchetnik won Ukraine its fourth gold at the World Cup, defeating India's Avani Lekhara by just 0.3 points in the final round of the R2 women's 10-metre air rifle standing SH1 competition.

Shchetnik scored 249.0 to Lekhara's 248.7, forcing the Indian youngster to settle for the silver medal.

The bronze medal went to Indonesia's Hanik Puji Hastuti, who comfortably finished ahead of Turkey's Cagla Bas in fourth.

In the final event of the day, Ukraine nearly added a fifth gold in the R4 mixed 10m air rifle standing SH2, but Vitalii Plakushchyi lost a shoot-off with Italy's Robert Lazzaro.

Both athletes finished the final round with a score of 252.8, with Lazzaro pulling level after being 0.3 behind going into the last stage.

The Italian scored 10.5 to Plakushchyi's 10.1 in the shoot-off to win the gold.

India's Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna claimed the bronze medal by just 0.1 points ahead of Ukraine's Anastasiia Telizhenko.
