India’s Manish Narwal claimed victory on the sixth day of the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Al Ain.

Nawal topped the standings in the P4 mixed 50 metres pistol SH1 event, being held in the city in the United Arab Emirates.

The Indian shooter held off the challenge of Iran’s Sareh Javanmardi during the competition to triumph with a score of 229.1 points.

Nawal's score surpassed the previous world record of 228.6, which was held by Serbia's Rastko Jokic.

Javanmardi finished as the runner-up with a score of 223.4.

India’s Singhraj completed the podium places, after being eliminated in third place.

Singhraj placed third on 201.7 points.

The penultimate day of the event saw a VIP mixed 10m air rifle prone SH-VI competition held.

The event featured three Croatian shooters, with Fran Skracic topping the standings.

Skracic finished the competition with a score of 605.1 points.

Darko Golubic and Ruza Markesic completed the top three, ending on 571.3 and 522.0 points respectively.

The World Cup event is scheduled to conclude tomorrow with two final competitions.

The R6 mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 event will open the final day, prior to the R5 mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2 final.
