The Moroccan National Olympic Committee’s (CNOM) finances for 2019 and 2020 were rubber-stamped by members at the organisation’s Ordinary General Assembly.

The meeting was chaired by CNOM President Faïçal Laraichi and held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

It was also staged in the presence of the Presidents of Moroccan National Federations as well as a representative from the country’s Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The CNOM said members unanimously approved a series of financial documents for 2019 and 2020, including the reports of the auditor and the organisation’s budgets.

The appointment of a statutory auditor responsible for the CNOM’s financial statements was also agreed at the meeting.

As well as addressing the CNOM’s finances, Laraichi reiterated the organisation’s commitment to support all national governing bodies in their sports projects.

This month has seen the CNOM open its doors to students in a bid to promote Olympic values.

Students from Fath Union Sport football academy and National School of Commerce and Management of Casablanca visited the CNOM headquarters.

"This visit was an opportunity to share with these students the Olympic values and present them the history of Moroccan Olympism," a statement from the CNOM read.
