The Turkish men's kata team claimed the country's sixth gold medal of the European Karate Championships in Poreč in Croatia, as Turkey topped the medals table.

Emre Vefa Göktaş, Enes Özdemir and Ali Sofuoğlu defeated Spain's Sergio Galán, Alejandro Manzana and Raúl Martín in the final.

Bronze medals went to Italy - Gianluca Gallo, Alessandro Iodice and Giuseppe Panagia - and Russia - Maksim Ksenofontov, Mehman Rzaev and Emil Skovorodnikov.

In the women's team kata, Italy's Carola Casale, Terryana D'Onofrio and Michela Pezzetti duly defeated Spain's Marta García, Lidia Rodríguez and Raquel Roy for the gold.

Portugal's Mariana Belo, Ana Cruz and Patricia Esparteiro and France's Lætitia Feracci, Louise Frieh and Laura Pieri won the bronze medals.

The team kumite competitions also wrapped up on the final day of the European Championships.

Croatia's Enes Garibović, Anđelo Kvesić, Ivan Kvesić, Ivan Martinac, Ante Mrvičić, Karlo Raguž and Zvonimir Živković claimed the men's team kumite title, the hosts' only gold of the tournment.

This came after a final victory over Montenegro's Nenad Dulović, Andrija Fatić, Mario Hodžić, Nikola Malović, Balša Miličković and Predrag Smolović.

Ukraine and Azerbaijan won the bronze medals.

In the women's team kumite, Germany's Shara Hubrich, Johanna Kneer, Jana Messerschmidt and Anna Miggou won the gold medal after defeating Turkey's Merve Çoban, Gülsen Demirtürk, Eda Eltemur and Meltem Hocaoğlu in the final.

The bronze medals went to Italy and Croatia.

Finally in Para karate, Spain's Isabel Fernandez Jimenez claimed her second consecutive European title with a a win over Ukraine's Knarik Airapetian in the women's wheelchair final.

Juan Antonio Sepulcre Fuentes defeated Vicente Yanguez Santalla in an all-Spanish men's wheelchair final.

Turkey were clear at the top of the medals table with six golds, two silvers and one bronze, ahead of Germany's two gold medals.

Spain, Azerbaijan, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Italy and Croatia all won a single gold medal.
