Peder Fredricson will be hoping to maintain his lead in the Global Champions Tour (GCT) standings when the event resumes in Valkenswaard in The Netherlands tomorrow.

The Swede tops the rankings on 96 points after winning the jump-off on board Catch Me Not in St Tropez in France last week.

Bart Bles of The Netherlands sits second on 76 with Britain’s Scott Brash third on 68.

The top five also includes Austrian Max Kühner on 66 and Frenchman Olivier Robert on 60.

Competition will be held at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, which is considered the spiritual home of the GCT and the Global Champions League (GCL).

It will the fourth leg of the GCT and GCL after events in Qatari capital Doha, Madrid in Spain and St Tropez.

The opening event in the five-star GCT series, held in Doha in March, was won by Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels, with Italy’s Lorenzo De Luca second and Canada’s Eric Lamaze third.

In Madrid, Robert and Brash were followed home by Darragh Kenny of Ireland.

Fredricson then emerged victorious in St Tropez ahead of compatriot Henrik von Eckermann and France’s Simon Delestre.

The GCL is also poised to resume with Shanghai Swans topping the standings on 80 points ahead of Valkenswaard United on 77 and Madrid in Motion on 51.

Competition is set to start tomorrow and run until Sunday (June 6).
