World Para Snow Sports is set to organise three digital seminars in the lead-up to its first multi-sport Championships in Lillehammer in January.

The organisation revealed that the sessions will offer more information about the delayed inaugural World Para Snow Sports Championships at the Norwegian venue, set to run from January 8 to 23.

They will also include interviews with athletes and sports professionals, World Para Snow Sports said.

A Para Nordic Skiing camp will also be held in Lillehammer before the Championships.

World Para Snow Sports said the November 22 to 28 camp will "give 25 to 30 athletes who are future medal prospects an opportunity to work with top-level coaches in the best training conditions".

The first World Para Snow Sports Championships had been scheduled to take place from February 7 to 20 before being postponed to November 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was then delayed until January 2022.

Confirmation of the digital seminars and the Para Nordic Skiing camp came during World Para Snow Sports' annual nations meetings, attended by around 90 representatives from almost 50 National Paralympic Committees.

An overview of the 2020-2021 World Cup and Europa Cup seasons across Para Alpine skiing, Para Nordic skiing and Para snowboard was among the topics discussed.

Updates were also given World Para Snow Sports Championships, Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games and the 2023 World Para Snow Sports Championships in Sweden.
