Ireland's Darragh Kenny was at the double in Monaco, winning the Global Champions Tour (GCT) Grand Prix as well as helping his team triumph in the Global Champions League (GCL) event.

Riding Idalville d'Esprit, Kenny won a six-way jump-off, clearing all jumps and completing the course in 37.89sec.

Germany's Max Kühner, on Eic Coriolis des Isles, had to settle for second place after Kenny bettered his time of 38.07.

H&M Legend of Love, ridden by the Belgian Olivier Philippaerts, finished third.

Kenny's win assures him passage to the GCT Super Grand Prix in Prague in November.

It came after his Paris Panthers - consisting of Kenny and Egyptian Nayel Nassar - produced clear runs just as they had in qualifying to earn the GCL victory.

Australia's Edwina Tops-Alexander also reached the GCT Grand Prix jump-off, and that is enough to propel her to the top of the standings.

Tops-Alexander and Identity Vitseroel finished fifth after touching the castle fence in the jump-off.

The Australian has 152 points, with Swede Peder Fredricson - absent from Monaco - three points back in second and London 2012 team jumping champion Ben Maher of Britain third on 132.
