Saudi Arabia and Guam are set to host the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asia Cup qualifiers, giving an opportunity for third-ranked teams from the qualification tournaments to reach the finals next year.

The FIBA Regional Office Asia, in coordination with FIBA Regional Office Oceania, confirmed Saudi city Jeddah would host the Group H teams, while Mangilao in Guam is to stage the Group G games.

India and Palestine join Saudi Arabia in Group H, while Guam welcome Chinese Taipei into Group G.

Three teams from these two groups will qualify for the Asia Cup, joining the 13 who have already booked their spots at the 2022 tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Jakarta in Indonesia in July next year.

It was initially supposed to start in August 2021 before being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
