Cali Condors claimed their third victory of the International Swimming League (ISL) season after edging out Toronto Titans in Naples.

The defending overall champions scored a total of 581 points to finish at the summit of the standings after two days of competition at Piscina Felice Scandone.

Toronto Titans were made to pay for their poor performance in the skins races as they ended second on 529.5 points.

Iron did enough for third after amassing 362.5 points.

The lead had changed hands on several occasions during the match, with the Condors and the Titans battling it out for top spot.

The Titans went into the second day of racing in top spot but the Condors roared back to secure victory.

American Beata Nelson was among the stars for the Condors as she broke the national record in the women's 100 metres individual medley short course.

Nelson earned maximum points for her side by clocking a time of 57.90sec, shaving 0.04 off the previous mark set by compatriot Melanie Margalis in the fourth match of the 2020 ISL season.

A Condors one-two in the 100m breaststroke, led by double Olympic gold medallist Lilly King and compatriot Molly Hannis, also proved crucial as it meant they outscored the Titans by 26 points in the event.

The match in Naples was the last of the regular season.

The 2021 ISL campaign is due to continue in the Italian city with the play in match from September 29 to 30, before Eindhoven stages the semi-finals in November.
