USA Nordic has created two new roles, a partnership marketing director and communications manager, to help drive the national governing body forward.

Casey Mills has been appointed as the partnership marketing director for the Park City-based organisation and Riley Elliott as its communications manager.

Mills, a public relations and communications graduate from Utah Valley University, has worked for the last five years with Major League Soccer club team Real Salt Lake in partnership marketing.

He has also had an extensive career in the snow sports industry over the past 16 years, coaching snowboarding at every level, along with a stint competing in the sport as well.

"This is a great opportunity to build the partnership marketing aspect of this organisation, because there hasn’t been anyone in this position before at USA Nordic," Mills said.

"So, I’m going to be able to lay the foundation and build it for what I envision it to be.

"My main goal is to make sure that all of our partners are meeting their goals, and that our athletes are meeting their goals because of what our partners are providing.

"I am hoping that more partners will want to join us in our journey to the Olympics, and that our current partners will want to continue with us through this journey as long as possible."

Elliott is also a University of Utah graduate, majoring in strategic communications and minoring in outdoor recreation studies.

During his time at the University of Utah, Elliott was an athletics communications intern for Utah Athletics.

After graduating from the University of Utah, Elliott gained more experience in communications with Snowbasin Ski Resort as a communications associate for the 2020-2021 season.

"I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity I have obtained from USA Nordic to be the communications manager for the organisation," Elliott said.

"I’m very excited to bring my skills to the table that I learned from my time at the University of Utah and Snowbasin to help positively impact USA Nordic.

"I have had a very warm welcome from the athletes, coaches and members of the organisation, and can’t wait to continue to work with them.

"Not only am I excited for the growth that I am expecting from myself with this new position, but for the growth of USA Nordic as a whole.

"I have come in at a very exciting time and I cannot wait for what the future holds, there are a lot of big things coming."
