The winner of a competition to design the concept for the 2023 FISU World University Games Park in Yekaterinburg has been revealed.

"Meet Your Tomorrow" has come out on top following a public voting stage and then a decision by an expert jury.

The Park is due to be open between August 2 and 20 in 2023, at Yekaterinburg's 1905 Square.

It will serve as the "cultural centre" of the upcoming Summer World University Games and part of the celebration of the Russian city's 300th anniversary.

The winning entrant was designed by the City Festive Events Directorate and Event-Bureau 5/4, with the support of the Yekaterinburg History Museum.

The Plotinka Tunnel will be used as a "bridge" between the past and future as part of the project.

A total of 18 sports are due to be contested at Yekaterinburg 2023, between August 8 and 19 in two years' time.
