The Czech Republic are through to the Women's World Floorball Championship semi-finals after a back-and-fourth victory over Denmark.

Denmark entered the match at Uppsala's IFU Arena as underdogs, but took the lead through Sara Mainz Olsson and ended the first period level, with the score 2-2.

The Czechs won the second period 4-3, with a Michaela Kubeckova brace central to that, but Denmark were just a lone goal behind entering the final period.

The next goal looked like it would be crucial and Eliska Krupnova got it for the Czech Republic.

That put the Czechs 7-5 ahead and that is how it ended.

Switzerland beat Slovakia 12-1 in the day's other quarter-final.

The Swiss will play Sweden - the host nation and defending champions - in the semi-finals tomorrow.

Finland await for the Czechs.
