The United States maintained their 100 per cent record at the Under-18 Women's Softball World Cup in Lima, thrashing the Dutch 10-0 with Alissa Humphrey pitching her second perfect game of the tournament.

Humphrey allowed no hits, no walks and struck out four of the 12 batters she faced in another heavy win for the Americans, who are as good as assured of a place in the final.

Errin Coffel was the pick of the US sluggers at the Villa Maria del Triunfo Sports Complex, going three-for-three, which included a two-run homer.

The Czech Republic had a mixed day, first losing 3-1 to Mexico but then defeating Colombia 10-5.

They have three wins and two losses, as do Puerto Rico after they overcame the Colombians 7-0.

Hosts Peru lost Chinese Taipei 8-0 in the late game.

The victory moved Chinese Taipei moved them onto five wins from five games - level with the US - and with just two days of round-robin play left after today, a US-Chinese Taipei final appears highly likely.

The US are seeking to win a record fourth World Cup in a row.
