Pidcock won his first World Cup gold in the men's race, coming from behind to beat Belgian Eli Iserbyt in the final moments in a time of 1 hr 3min 26sec.

Iserbyt was denied a sixth win on the circuit this season, finishing three seconds behind the 22-year-old.

His compatriot Michael Vanthourenhout took the bronze medal another five seconds back, and a third Belgian, Quinten Hermans, was close behind in fourth.

Lars van der Haar of The Netherlands was the first home rider over the line, having a gap of 20 seconds back to the rest of the field.

Iserbyt still holds a comfortable lead in the standings, extending the deficit to Vanthourenhout who moved up to second.

The Netherlands were dominant in the women's race, with all the top seven hailing from the home nation, but it was Marianne Vos who crossed first in a sprint to the line with Lucinda Brand.

The pair finished in 54min 14sec, eight seconds in front of bronze medallist Denise Betsema.

Fem van Empel was another nine seconds back in fourth, just in front of Puck Pieterse; while Annemarie Worst and Shirin van Anrooij completed the Dutch rout.

Brand's silver today extends her lead in the standings slightly from Betsema, with all top seven riders today also featuring in the top seven overall.
