Hosts TSV Pfungstadt successfully defended their title at the Fistball Men's European Champions Cup, winning in straight sets in the final today in Germany.

To get to the gold-medal game, TSV Pfungstadt defeated FG Elgg-Ettenhausen from Switzerland 11-1, 9-11, 11-6. 11-7, 11-7 at the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Schule Sports Hall.

In the other semi-final, Austria's Union Tigers Vöcklabruck won a seven-set thriller over TV Käfertal of Germany 9-11, 9-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-7, 12-10, 11-9 to progress.

It was a straight-sets victory for Pfungstadt in the final over Union Tigers Vöcklabruck by a scoreline of 11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 11-6, winning them their eighth consecutive trophy.

Bronze went to TV Käfertal in four sets too, beating FG Elgg-Ettenhausen 11-5, 11-7, 11-8, 11-5.

Yesterday, the women's edition of the Fistball European Champions Cup was won by TSV Dennach against hosts TSV Calw.
