Austria won a second successive men's team event of the Ski Jumping World Cup season in Bischofshofen.

Manuel Fettner, Jan Hörl, Philipp Aschenwald and Daniel Huber combined at the home venue to score 1,015.5 points in total.

The Austrian quartet led the standings after the first round with 490.8 points, led by Huber's  jump of 133.5 metres jump which was worth 130.0 points.

Despite a higher score of 524.7 points in the second round, the team only finished fourth for the round, but it was still enough to see them get the better of the competition.

Japan who finished as runners-up.

The Japanese team made up of Yukiya Satō, Keiichi Satō, Junshirō Kobayashi and Four Hills Tournament champion Ryōyū Kobayashi posted scores amassed 1,006.4 points in total.

Norway made up the top three but narrowly missed out on silver with 1,006.2 points.

Austria's triumph gives them 400 points towards the Nations Cup standings and sees the country jump to first place with 2,646 points.

Norway also moved up the table, into second, after collecting 300 points to take them to 2,530 overall.

Germany plummeted down the rankings from first to third following a sixth-place finish.

They now sit 139 points off pole position with a score of 2,530 having collected 150 in Bischofshofen.

Ski Jumping World Cup action is set to continue on January 15 in Zakopane in Poland, with another men's team event scheduled.
