Sandra Näslund made it six wins from seven races at the latest International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Cross World Cup leg in Nakiska, getting one step closer to taking the Crystal Globe in a dominant season so far.

Going through all three rounds, Swedish skier Näslund led through all intermediate gates on her way to another women's gold medal, beating her closest foe and defending World Cup champion Fanny Smith of Switzerland in the big final.

Smith took her sixth silver medal of the season too, making her the clear second-best skier of the season.

Daniela Maier of Germany claimed the bronze medal, beating Austrian Katrin Ofner to take her fifth career World Cup podium.

Notably missing from the big final was a contingent of Canadians, but three of them made the small final.

Hannah Schmidt was the best of these in fifth overall, just in front of Courtney Hoffos.

Alexandra Edebo of Sweden was seventh, followed by a third Canadian Brittany Phelan in eighth.

Marielle Thompson, the only other World Cup winner this season, failed to make it out of her first heat.
