With two wins each so far, England and Australia have confirmed their spot in the final of the 2022 Netball Quad Series, but are still to play against each other in the final group game tomorrow at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Both teams recorded victories over South Africa and crucially, world champions New Zealand, to ensure they qualified as the top two in a tournament seen as a crucial build-up for this year's Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

A comeback in their second fixture against New Zealand helped 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallists England make it into the top two - with a great second-half giving them the 49-46 win.

Jade Clarke was pivotal in the second quarter to help England's revival, as the score was tied at 25-25 at half-time.

England outscored their opponents by three in the third quarter and kept them at bay in the final quarter to seal an important victory.

It came after beating South Africa - who have always finished fourth in the Netball Quad Series since its 2016 inaugural tournament - in their opening game 71-47.

The 11-time world champions Australia got their second win against a plucky South Africa by a score of 60-40.

At half-time, South Africa only trailed by five, but let the floodgates open in the third quarter by conceding nine more than their opponents.

Australia out-scored South Africa by five in the final quarter to ease into the final.

Their difficult work was done the day before in the Pacific clash with New Zealand, winning 53-39.

New Zealand and South Africa are to play tomorrow, before a rematch in the game for third on Wednesday (January 19).
