England and Australia drew 48-48 in round three of the Netball Quad Series at the Copper Box Arena while New Zealand pulled off a 54-43 win against South Africa.

The Roses and the Diamonds met in a rehearsal of tomorrow's final as both sides had already done enough to secure the top two places in the round-robin stage.

Commonwealth Games champions England will be delighted with the result considering they were losing 38-32 going into the final quarter against the world's top-ranked team.

Helen Housby found the net with just five seconds remaining to earn the draw in front of a raucous crowd in London.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand picked up their first win of the series against South Africa.

The pair will also have a rematch tomorrow in the third-place playoff.

"We came out with a win and that's always a good thing," said New Zealand's coach Noeline Taurua after the game, as reported by NZ Sports Wire.

"There were some good patches.

"Defensively, we turned over some good ball but what I'm a bit disappointed about is our basic skills sets, and on that front, we need to be better.

"Even though we did win, I thought we should have won by more."

It was a confidence-boosting win for the Silver Ferns who fielded a new-look team in preparation for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

There were four personnel changes to the starting seven for the Silver Ferns.

Teenage shooter Grace Nweke earned her first start while Northern Stars goal attack Maia Wilson was recalled.
