The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and Perfect Descent have extended their partnership until 2024.

The collaboration makes it the third-longest active deal among IFSC's main partners.

Perfect Descent, whose parent company is C-3 Manufacturing and is headquartered in Colorado, US, will continue to retain the exclusive right to use the tags "IFSC exclusive auto-belay partner" and "IFSC auto-belay sole supplier".

They will also be the only auto-belay supplier at IFSC World Cups, World Championships, Youth World Championships and Continental Championships for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 seasons.

"Perfect Descent has supported the IFSC in the development of climbing around the world and has been an essential support in our first Olympic journey," Anne Fuynel, IFSC TV and marketing director, said.

"Their knowledge, and their roots in the United States are an extremely important asset for the development and promotion of our sport and our values in this territory, and beyond."

Perfect Descent President Ron Naranjo added their auto-belays "have been critical to the growth of competitive speed climbing" and that they have made a significant contribution "to standardisation within the sport and improving safety and fairness of the speed wall".
