Olympic champion Janja Garnbret has topped qualification in the women's opening boulder competition of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup season.

The Slovenian, who competed in Group A, finished first after completing her climb with five tops and five zones after attempting 10 of each.

She was followed by the United States' Natalia Grossman, who did not miss on any of her attempts, by securing four tops and five zones.

Germany’s Hannah Meul completed the top-three in Group A with four tops and five zones.

The German had sought five tops and five zones during her climb.

In Group B, Israel’s Ayala Kerem was the best performer, producing a result of five top and five zones in 12 and five attempts.

Brooke Raboutou of the US finished behind Kerem on four tops and five zones after trying eight tops and seven zones.

Italy’s Camilla Moroni ended her climb in third following a climb of four tops and five zones.

She had attempted to make nine tops and nine zones during her performance.

Zan Lovenjak Sudar of Slovenia led the way in the men's division with a flawless five zones and five tops performance after 11 and 7 attempts, respectively.

Japan's Tomoa Narasaki followed behind in second with just one top fewer after six and eight attempts.

Colin Duffy of the US rounded out the top three with five zones and five tops.

He was placed below Narasaki, however, due to taking far more attempts with 14 and 12.
