Brazil’s Barbara Seixas and Carol Salgado earned gold as the World Volleyball Beach Pro Tour Challenge event concluded in Doha.

The pairing were seeking their second title on the Beach Pro Tour circuit after winning the inaugural event in Tlaxcala during March.

Barbara and Carol were forced to come from behind to win their semi-final match 17-21, 21-17, 15-11 against Australia’s Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Del Solar.

The victory set up a final against Germany’s Chantal Laboureur and Sarah Schulz, who were 14-21, 24-22, 15-9 semi-final winners over Switzerland’s Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner.

The final saw a dominant performance from Barbara and Carol, who secured a 21-13, 21-13 win to claim the title.

"This challenge of being better every day is truly motivating us and this tournament in Doha was excellent in that regard," said Barbara.

"We've been trying to approach every match with the right attitude.

"We're very happy with what we've accomplished, but we always want more."

Hüberli and Brunner earned the final podium spot in the women’s event by winning the bronze-medal match 13-21, 21-19, 15-11 against Clancy and Artacho del Solar.

Poland’s Michal Bryl and Bartosz Losiak were crowned men’s champions.

The tournament second seeds beat Austria’s Martin Ermacora and Moritz Pristauz 21-18, 23-21 in the semi-finals.

Italy’s Paolo Nicolai and Samuele Cottafava overcame The Netherlands’ Yorick de Groot and Stefan Boermans 16-21, 21-9, 15-11 to secure the second spot in the final.

Bryl and Losiak proved too strong for the Italians in the final, earning a 21-18, 21-15 victory.

The third-place playoff was won by Ermacora and Pristauz, with the Austrians beating De Groot and Boermans 21-17, 21-18.
