China secured two of four gold medals available in today's action at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Châteauroux in France.

Yang Chao got the country off to a good start at the Centre National de Tir Sportif as he shot 239.6 points in the men's 10 metres air pistol final.

The double Olympic champion was consistently at the upper end of the table and went head-to-head with Uzbekistan's Server Ibragimov after the rest of the eight-strong field had been whittled down.

Ibragimov suffered a 20.1-18.7 defeat and had to settle for silver with 235.8 points overall while Turkey's Cevat Karagöl rounded out the top-three with 214.0 points.

In the men's 50m three positions rifle, three-time Paralympic gold medallist Dong Chao of China took a narrow victory as he posted 457.5 points.

Servian Laslo Suranji narrowly missed out on top spot as he scored 456.0 points while France's Didier Richard scored 440.6 which was good enough for the bronze medal.

Aysel Özgan was victorious in the women's 10m air pistol with 240.0 points as she led a Turkish one-two with Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Ayşegül Pehlivanlar finishing as runner-up with 236.7 points.

India's Francis Rubina amassed 213.1 points to win the bronze medal in France.

She will be disappointed with her performance after comfortably leading the field in the qualification round.

Rubina's countrywoman Avani Lekhara lived up to expectations in the women's 50m three positions rifle after a poor qualification period.

The Tokyo 2020 gold and bronze medallist came fourth in the initial stage before topping the table when it mattered with 458.3 points.

Veronika Vadovičová of Slovakia and Sweden's Anna Normann made up the podium with 456.6 and 441.9 points, respectively.
