After teaming up with Anabelle Smith to win women's synchronised three metres springboard gold, Keeney enjoyed individual success with victory in the women’s 3m springboard final.

Keeney was sitting in second position after three of the five rounds as Nur Dhabitah Sabri led the way.

The turning point came in the penultimate round when Keeney scored 75.95 to climb above Malaysia's Sabri who posted her lowest score of 55.50.

Keeney was then awarded 72.00 for her final dive as she triumphed with 348.95.

Sabri had to settle for silver on 330.90, while Canada’s Mia Vallée totalled 329.25 to bag bronze.

"They are both equally important in different ways for me," said Keeney of the two gold medals.

"The synchro one, four years ago - where I failed a dive and we ended up coming last when we were in a good position to win a medal - to winning it yesterday, is really a testament to how far we’ve come, not only as a pair but by myself.

"This one because I’ve been injured and out of the pool and out of competition for a couple of years.

"I’m still injured but thought I’d give it a crack."

Keeney said she also gained inspiration from Rousseau who prevailed beforehand in the men’s 10m platform final.

Rousseau was ranked fourth after the first attempt before landing more difficult dives to rise up the standings.

The 21-year-old saved his best dive until last, scoring 103.60 to increase his overall total to 501.30.

Rylan Wiens of Canada collected silver with 492.80, while England’s Matty Lee completed the podium with 477.00 for bronze.

"That was top two dives that I've ever done in my life," said Rousseau.

"As soon as I hit the water, I knew I was going to get some high marks."
