Serbian outfit Ub Huishan NE are favourites for another International Basketball Association (FIBA) 3x3 World Tour event victory as they prepare to compete at the Debrecen Masters tomorrow and Sunday (August 28).

Meanwhile in Paris, France will be hoping home comforts can lead to an improvement in their fortunes in the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.

Eaubonne is the venue for that contest - which starts today and also features teams from Canada, Mongolia, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, China, Turkey and the Czech Republic.

Come the Paris 2024 Olympics, the city-centre Place de la Concorde is due to host 3x3 basketball.

In the men's 3x3 World Tour, Ub have won the first four events of the season and are one of 14 squads entered in the tournament in Hungary.

Including the favourites, five of the top eight teams in the world rankings are present; Serbia's Liman Huishan NE, Dutch side Amsterdam HiPRO, Antwerp of Belgium and the United States' Princeton.

Ub's ambitions of surpassing Novi Sad's 32-game win streak from 2018 came to an end at the last stop as they lost to Lausanne Sport in the Olympic capital.

However, Ub still look superior and boast the likes of the top-ranked player in the world, Strahinja Stojačić from Serbia.

Ub have been placed in Pool A alongside Warsaw Lotto and Fribourg.

Ub's rivals Liman appear best-equipped to stop their dominance despite losing to their compatriots in the semi-finals last time out.

They are alongside Lithuanian team Marijampole Mantinga in Pool B, with the third spot to be filled by the winner of a qualifying draw featuring Belgian side Brussels, Los Angeles from the US and Estonia's Tartu Alexela.

Third seeds Amsterdam are touted to have an outside chance and face a semi-final rematch from Switzerland as they join Lausanne in Pool C alongside the hosts Debrecen.

Antwerp and Princeton highlight Pool D, with London also featuring.

The qualifying draw is due to take place first before pool action begins with Ub facing Fribourg.

The round-robin phase will finish by the end tomorrow to leave the knockout rounds on Sunday.
