Levan Kelekhsashvili proved he is the wrestler to beat once again as he secured a stunning third successive victory at the fifth and final Beach Wrestling World Series event in Constanța in Romania.

The Georgian was matched against Azerbaijan's Ramiz Hasanov in the final of the men's under-70 kilograms class and initially the contest was close, with the two wrestlers level at 2-2.

That was until Kelekhsashvili used his expertise to topple Hasanov outside of the ring to claim a 5-2 victory on Mamaia Beach.

Yunus Coşkun of Turkey defeated Romania's Stefan Ionut Coman 1-0 to stand on the podium with a bronze medal.

Georgia's Nika Kentchadze one of the favourites in the men's under-80kg class and he displayed why in reaching the final.

However, a showdown versus Csaba Vida never came due to the Hungarian withdrawing because of an injury.

India's Vijay Vijay sealed the division's bronze medal thanks to a comfortable 5-1 win over Romania's Maxim Vasilioglo.

Azerbaijan's Ibrahim Yusubov won the men's under-90kg title via the same method as Kentchadze, with Farid Jabbarov, also representing Azerbaijan, withdrawing from the match due to an injury.

Turkey's Mahmut Seyfi Ozkaya sealed third place by beating Georgia's Davit Khutsishvili 2-1.

In the men's over-90kg, Turkey's Fatih Yasarli topped the podium following his 3-0 victory over Mamuka Kordzaia of Georgia in the final.

Georgi Lyubomirov Ivanov of Bulgaria overcame Vasile Caras of Romania 3-1 to win bronze.

In the women's under-50kg division, Stefania Priceputu was unsuccessful in securing back-to-back wins after she lost 2-1 to India's Kumari Hanny 2-1 while fighting for gold.

Turkey's Emine Cataloglu bested Romania's Alina Adriana Corbeanu 3-0 to take the bronze medal.

Iryna Khariv of Ukraine became the latest women's under-60kg winner after sweeping Romania's Elena Ionescu.

There was also medal success for Ukraine in the bronze match thanks to Daria Medvetska beating India's Kusum Kusum 3-1.

Bulgaria's Mimi Hristova won the women's under-70kg gold medal versus compatriot Sofiya Georgieva inside 10 seconds, while France's Manon Kury completed the podium after a tight 3-2 triumph over Hungary's Viktoria Felho.

Home favourite Catalina Axente achieved her goal of claiming back-to-back women's over-70kg titles following a 2-0 win versus Ukraine's Liudmyla Pavlovets Tychyna.

In the bronze-medal match, there was an all-Greek battle between Stefania Zacheila and Aikaterini Pitsiava, with the former walking away with the victory.

This was the final event of the Beach Wrestling World Series season, and will also factor into qualification for next year's Association of National Olympic Committees World Beach Games in Bali.
