Australia, France and Japan won both their fixtures on the second day of the World Wheelchair Rugby Championship in Vejle.

Australia, who were the 2018 World Championship runners-up, beat Brazil 57-36 in court two.

But their biggest result of the day came against Wheelchair Rugby Quad Nations winners Canada, who went down 53-55.

France started their day with a 60-42 win over New Zealand before following it up with a 58-34 victory over Switzerland.

The Japanese were absolutely dominant in the first game against Colombia, triumphing 60-34.

However, the Asian side edged hosts Denmark 61-60 in a thrilling second game.

The United States meanwhile started their campaign with a 56-45 victory over Germany.

Britain added to their victory from the first day as they defeated Germany 55-52.

New Zealand made up for their loss by getting the better of Switzerland 57-48 in the second game of the day.

They were joined by Colombia who got one over fellow South Americans Brazil with a 54-3d6 victory.

France and Britain occupy the first and second spots with two wins from two in Group A while Japan and Australia are placed first and second respectively in Group B after their first two games.

Eight more matches are scheduled to be held tomorrow as the tournament continues.
