China won three of the four senior gold medals available today while India grabbed the remaining one at the World Shooting Championships in Cairo.

Bowen Zhang, Liu Jinyao and Yifan Zhang won gold in the men’s team air pistol event, beating Iran’s Sajad Poorhosseini Lafmejani, Mohammadrasoul Efati and Javad Foroughi 16-10 in the final.

Bronze was claimed by South Korea, who beat Turkey 17-13.

The second gold medal for China came in the women’s team air pistol final against India.

Li Xue, Jiang Ranxin and Kaiman Lu got the better of Palak Palak, Rhythm Sangwan and Yuvika Tomar 16-8 in the final.

Iran bagged the bronze medal after edging Mongolia 16-14 in their match.

The last gold for China was won in the women’s team air rifle final.

Yuting Huang, Zhilin Wang and Yu Zhang defeated Alison Marie Weisz, Sagen Maddalena and Carolynn Mary Tucker of the United States 16-12.

The bronze medal went to India, who got the better of Germany 17-11.

India won their only title of the day in the men’s team air rifle final.

Arjun Babuta, Ankush Kiran Jadhav and Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil registered a 16-10 victory over Lihao Sheng, Buhan Song and Haoran Yang of China.

Serbia humbled Hungary 16-4 to claim bronze.

Among the junior events, China’s Yuqian Pang won gold in the women’s 50 metres rifle three positions after beating  Finland’s Alexandra Rosenlew 17-15.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with the 10m air rifle mixed team final, 10m air pistol mixed team final and the junior men’s 25m rapid fire pistol final.
