Sweden have won the Men's World Floorball Championship for a 10th time after defeating the Czech Republic 9-3 in the final in Switzerland.

The Swedes began the tournament in Group B and picked up wins against Germany and Latvia, while drawing to the Czechs.

A dominant quarter-final display against Norway came before an overtime victory against Finland in the semi-finals to set up the gold-medal game.

The first period went exactly how they would have liked, as two goals from Emil Johansson inspired the Swedes to a 4-1 lead at Swiss Life Arena.

A crowd of more than 11,000 saw Sweden inch closer to victory in the second period thanks to Malte Lundmark scoring his second and Alexander Galante Carlstrom adding a sixth Sweden goal.

The Czech Republic sought to fight back in the final period but it finished 9-3 to Sweden.

Sweden have now won the biennial competition on each occasion since it was launched in 1996 other than in 2008, 2010, 2016 and 2018.

The four editions they have not won, Finland won.

This time around the Finns settled for bronze, defeating the host nation 5-3.
