The Budapest 2023 World Athletics Championships will be broadcasted on Warner Bros. Discovery in more than 45 countries across Europe.

The agreement does not include Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden while fans in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland can stream the event on discovery+.

The deal will see World Athletics rights-holders Eurovision Sport and ESPN broadcast the event on Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and the Eurosport App.

"Eurosport has a long tradition of offering outstanding athletics coverage and this agreement will be welcomed by our fans across Europe, as it will give them even more opportunities to watch every amazing moment of the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23.

"I have no doubt that this deal will help us to deliver on our strategy for growing the sport."

The flagship World Athletics event is scheduled to be held from August 19 to 27 at the new National Athletics Centre in Budapest.

The event is set to be held in central Europe for the first time.

Warner Bros. Discovery launched a Paris 2024 show called Mon Paris Olympique last month o Eurosport in France.

It will feature French athletes share their stories until the Opening Ceremony in July 2024.
