Thirteen of its hotels across the territory are participating in the "Feel Your Pride and Share Your Love" stay experiences, with these including the Ritz-Carlton, the St. Regis Hong Kong, W Hong Kong and the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.

The other eight are the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel, Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and Tung Chung Hotel, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong, Tung Chung, Le Meridien Hong Kong Cyberport, Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong and the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin.

Hong Kong's relaxing of social distancing rules and the abolition of COVID-19 quarantining in the Chinese-operated territory will attract visitors to come to Hong Kong too, said Lisa Lam, co-chair of Gay Games Hong Kong.

This deal is on offer at the Marriott hotels until November 14 2023, with the experiences including Pride-themed welcome gifts, tickets to attractions and Octopus cards - a smart card that can be used for contactless payment.

The 2023 Gay Games are to be split between Hong Kong and the Mexican city Guadalajara from November 3 to 11 next year.

Guadalajara stepped in as co-hosts due to uncertainties in Hong Kong due to the COVID-19 restrictions, which had already postponed the event, initially scheduled for last month.
