The competition schedule has been revealed for next year, with racing set to open on June 3 in Sakarya, about 150 kilometres East of Istanbul.

Two rounds of racing are scheduled at a course which hosted the last four rounds of the 2021 circuit.

The racers then head to Papendal in the Netherlands for two further rounds beginning on June 24.

The circuit takes a break for the World Cycling Championships in Glasgow at which BMX racing is set to begin on August 6.

When the World Cup circuit resumes with rounds five and six on September 23 and 24, it will be at Sarrians, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France.

Although the European Cycling Union BMX Championships were held there from 2019 to 2021, this will be the first time that Sarrians has hosted a World Cup BMX event.

The season concludes at Santiago del Estero in Argentina, where racing has been scheduled for two weekends.

The city previously hosted UCI BMX World Cup events from 2013 to 2019.

The 2023 programme schedules rounds seven and eight for the weekend of October 7, with the final two races of the season set for the following weekend, and due to conclude on October 14.

In 2022, Laura Smulders of the Netherlands headed the women's standings and Sylvain Andre of France won the men's competition.

The Olympic qualification pathway stipulates that the "best 14 results within the qualification period" will count towards the rankings for Paris 2024.
