A three-day training for staff workplace transformation for secretariat staff, was concluded by the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ).

The training was facilitated by Bridget Kambobe and Kelvin Mengo, members of the Bridge Network for Transforming Africa Foundation.

It focused on introducing a productivity culture through team development, and set the tone for accountability, measuring, and staff evaluation via engagement.

String leadership, a workforce that communicates effectively and a staff who complete duties without being pushed were some of the key elements for a team to be productive, according to Kambobe.

She also stressed on how participants must maximise their skills to help grow NOCZ.

NOCZ secretary general Boniface Kambikambi thanked Diane Huffman, senior advisor for the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF) for supporting NOCZ initiative at the end of the training.

He also praised Bridge Network for Transforming Africa Foundation for facilitating the training.

"Change is not going to happen now, but we need to take what we have learned here as an action as it’s a progression that needs to be given time, self-leadership will not grow now but eventually will as we implement the learnings from this training," Kambikambi said.

NOCZ finance officer Chaelelwa Kazika did the vote of thanks.
