Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bø made it six wins from six in 2023, continuing his 100 per cent streak in the calendar year today with gold in the men's 12.5-kilometre pursuit at the International Biathlon Union (IBU) Biathlon World Cup in Antholz-Anterselva.

While some races have been closer, the four-time Beijing 2022 Olympic gold medallist Bø let no-one near him in the pursuit - crossing the line in 31min 24.4sec, 40.2 seconds in front of compatriot Sturla Holm Lægreid, whose perfect shooting record got him on to the podium for a third consecutive race.

Sweden's Martin Ponsiluoma recovered from early penalty laps to finish comfortably in third, 1:02.1 down on the winner.

Roman Rees from Germany and Norway's Johannes Dale completed the top five.

Bø now has more than a two-race lead in the overall standings, with Lægreid second to him too.
