Newly elected President of the National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone (NOC/CGA-SLE) Prince Vandy Sualley led a visit to the National Sports Authority (NSA) headquarters to develop the organisation's partnership.

Sualley was joined by newly appointed Heads of Committees at the NSA office in Freetown.

"I decided to do our first visitation tour to the NSA and it is special because we see the NSA as partners and we want to maintain a good relationship, we must co-exist in harmony for sports development in the country," he said.

Chair of the NSA David Sengu Woobay said he was delighted to see that the new NOC leadership had already introduced an Ethics Committee and that "it is a bold step in their governance."

He also congratulated it for having appointed three women to the Executive Committee.

Executive director of the NSA Kenneth Brima emphasised that the NOC/CGA-SLE visit was of great importance and that he is grateful to have Sualley cooperating with the body.

"I must say the NOC/CGA-SLE members association made the correct decision in electing Prince Sualley as President," Brima said.

"We at the NSA are always delighted to see peaceful elections and we want unity in a sporting discipline."

NSA director of participation Steven Keifela then called on the NOC/CGA-SLE to organise a day for both organisations to focus on resolving challenges in the country's sporting development.
