Former National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Shawn Kemp was arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting at the city of Tacoma in Washington, United States.

The altercation occurred in a parking lot which involved an individual occupying another car, which Kemp allegedly fired shots at.

No injuries were reported by the Tacoma Police.

Kemp played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic and most notably, the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA.

He was also a part of the United States squad during the 1994 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) World Championships, where they claimed gold.

The 53-year-old retired in 2003, ending a 14-year career in which he made six All-Star appearances and made one NBA finals appearance with the Supersonics, which he lost to legend Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. 

He averaged 14.6 points per game during his career.

In 2006, Kemp was arrested for alleged drug possession.
