Olympic collectors are set to gather for the first time in four-years when they meet in Paris in June.

The 27th World Olympic Collectors' Fair is due to take place between June 23 and 25, it has been announced.

The Stade Charléty, situated in the 13th arrondissement of the French capital, is due to host the Fair and has been awarded the label "Olympiade Culturelle" by Paris 2024 organisers.

The start of the Fair is due to coincide with Olympic Day.

The event focusing on Olympism - its values, its history and its heritage - is set to bring together enthusiasts who collect, exchange and exhibit unique items and objects relating to the Games.

The World Olympic Collectors Fair will be organised by the International Association of Olympic Collectors with the support of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee and the National Sports Agency.

It will be only the second time since the first World Olympic Collectors’ Fair was held in Lausanne in 1994 that the event has taken place in an Olympic host city the year before the Games.

The only other time it happened was in 2007 when it was staged in Beijing a year before the Chinese capital hosted the Olympics.

The last event took place in 2019 in Warsaw.

A Fair had been due to take place in Artena, near Rome, in 2020 but was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before being cancelled.
