The South Australia capital is due to stage five matches at the tournament scheduled to take place from from July 20 until August 20.

Following a three-day visit to Sydney, Samoura attended the event at Football South Australia's offices which is in support of the "Game Changer" programme.

The programme is a Football Australia initiative aimed at further growing junior clubs and helping them become more inclusive.

It ties into the National Association's ambition to achieving 50-50 gender-parity among participants following the World Cup.

At the event, Samoura addressed a group of dignitaries, local club representatives and young players, and was joined by FIFA chief women's football officer Sarai Bareman and 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup chief executive David Beeche.

The trip also saw Samoura meet with members of the Government, inspect hotel facilities where delegates will be staying, and a visit to training sites for the Chinese and Panamanian teams.

"It was a pleasure meeting the FIFA Secretary General, Madame Fatma Samoura and the team around the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup," South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas wrote on Twitter.

"South Australia is proudly hosting five matches at Hindmarsh Stadium, which will put SA front and centre in world football."

Samoura then visited Hindmarsh Stadium, venue for five matches during the tournament.

The long-term home of football in the city has undergone a refurbishment with the addition of further roofing, two big screens and upgraded dressing rooms prior to the competition.

Adelaide is due to welcome Brazil against Panama on July 24 in Group F, followed four days later by China and Haiti in Group D,

Then, on August 1, European champions England are due to played China in Adelaide. 

South Korea and Morocco are also due to play there on July 30. 

Hindmarsh Stadium's final fixture is set to be a round of 16 clash on August 8.
