The European Breaking Championships are set to take place tomorrow and Sunday (May 7) during the Andalucia Urban Live event in Spain with athletes set to earn Olympic qualification points for the sport's debut at Paris 2024.

More than 300 competitors are set to compete in Almeria, which will also host BMX freestyle and scooter contests.

The opening day is due begin with the round-of-64 in both the men's and women's categories before the field is whittled down to 16 by the evening.

The rounds-of-16, top eight and top four finals will then occupy the schedule on day two.

In the women's contest, world number three Anti of Italy is tipped for a podium place and will be looking for gold after her silver-medal at last year's European Championships.

Spain's Furia and Raw Law are expected to excite the home crowd as they aim for their first international podium finish.

Senorita Carlota of France, Belgium's MadMax, Jilou of Germany, and Finland's AT are other the top female athletes participating in Almeria, while current European champion India of The Netherlands has not confirmed her participation.

France's Dany Dann arrives in Almeria for the men's competition after winning the Breaking for Gold Series in Rio de Janeiro.

The current world number one also won last year's continental event and is expected to triumph yet again.

He is once again set to face the toughest competition from Britain's Kid Karam who lost out in the previous final.

Spain's main hope comes in the form of Xak, while Ukrainians Kuzya and Lussy Sky are also potential title contenders.
