Pink_and_PeacockJanuary 25 – British sailor Giles Scott remains unbeaten in Miami after chalking up another two wins on day two of the ISAF Sailing World Cup series in Florida.

The 23-year-old Olympic hopeful continued his confident start to maintain the perfect scoreline at the top of the Finn class standings.

But he was not the only British boat to be unbeaten at the Rolex Miami OCR.

John Pink and birthday boy Rick Peacock (pictured) picked up a hat-trick of race wins in the 49er event to take overall first in a class where the three British boats have taken an early lead in the hunt for medals.

Pink, 27, and Peacock, who celebrated his 25th birthday today, leapfrogged two other GBR crews to take the top spot in the skiff class, with Dave Evans and Ed Powys just behind in second, and Paul Brotherton and Mark Asquith third after the six races.

Meanwhile Scott has extended his lead in the Finn event to ten points after four races, with teammates Ben Ainslie and Andrew Mills also improving their overall positions to second and fifth respectively.

A tight battle is also developing in the 470 men's event at the top of the table between Britain's two-time world champions Nic Asher and Elliot Willis, and the 2010 European bronze medallists Luke Patience and Stuart Bithell who are just one point apart in first and second place after four races.

"Today was a very good day for me and Stuart," said Patience.

"We had between 14 and 16 knots and short chop - it was very, very physical conditions.

"We came out of the day with a very low score again so we're very happy not to have picked up a discard yet!

"When we're on form, we're confident we can be the best in the world."

Lucy Macgregor, Mary Rook and Kate Macgregor have booked their berth in the quarter-finals of the women's match racing event, topping their preliminary round robin group having lost just one match out of seven - against America's Sally Barkow.

Britain's trio of John Robertson, Hannah Stodel and Steve Thomas have taken the overall lead in the Paralympic Sonar class with 1,7 on the scoreboard.

Olympic champion Paul Goodison is in second overall in the Laser event, with world silver medallist Nick Thompson not far behind in fourth, while there was an impressive show from development squad Laser sailor Alex Mills-Barton, who picked up two top eight results in the highly competitive senior fleet.

RS:X windsurfers Nick Dempsey and Bryony Shaw both currently occupy the second spots in the men's and women's fleets - Dempsey posting 4,4 and Shaw two second places, while in the 470 women's fleet, Penny Clark and Katrina Hughes get to keep their red jerseys for another day, maintaining their consistency to stay in overall third place, while Sarah Ayton and Saskia Clark are currently ninth.

In the Laser Radial event, Alison Young is fifth overall, while world champions Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell are third in the Paralympic SKUD event, and Megan Pascoe and Helena Lucas eighth and 11th respectively in the 2.4mR event.
