nanjing 2014_25-10-11October 25 - Next year, the English "Star of Hope" talent contest will be holding a competition in partnership with the Nanjing Youth Olympics Organising Committee, in a move to promote the Nanjing 2014 Youth Games to youngsters across China.


Star of Hope is a televised talent contest, broadcast to a national audience, and has been running since 2000, reaching more than 80 million people since its launch.

The majority of competitors are school age youths and university students, giving them a platform to showcase their talents, while promoting both sport and educational events.

Efforts will be made to publicise the competition to as many Chinese youngsters as possible in the coming months in the lead up to Nanjing 2014, which will be the second Summer Youth Olympics following the success of Singapore last year, whilst the first Winter Youth Olympics takes place in Innsbruck next January.
