There were 11 tickets given away today by the Innsbruck 2012 organisers, to coincide with the "11 day to go" milestone.

In recent months hundreds of tickets have already been given away to coincide with the 99, 66, 33 and 22 days to go landmarks.

In total there are 66,000 tickets for the Games, which run from January 13 to 22.

Tickets have been given away both for Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as venue day tickets to see the competition.

Every individual getting their hands on free tickets was able to apply for a maximum of two, and outdoor events can be watched for free.

The torch relay is currently working its way around Austria, stopping in the capital Vienna on Saturday (January 7), and in all 2,012 torchbearers will have carried the torch on its journey to the Bergisel Stadium for the opening ceremony of the Games on January 13.

Innsbruck 2012 is the first time that the Olympic flame will have come to the same city on three occasions, with the venue having hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics.
