Noora Al-Mannai_head_and_shouldersJanuary 30 - Doha 2020 has set February 10 as the date when it will unveil its bid logo and slogan.

The event will occur in Doha at an annual community fun day known as Wheels 'n' Heels, which promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyles in Qatar.

The official Doha 2020 bid website will also be launched that day.

The bid has also announced further additions to its team, including Fahad Juma as deputy chief executive and technical director, Tariq Falamarzi, legal director, and Fatma Al-Ghanim, marketing and communications director.

Noora Al Mannai (pictured), the bid's chief executive, described the logo, slogan and website as "important building blocks in our bid to host the first ever Olympic and Paralympic Games in the Middle East".

She said Doha 2020's applicant file was "in the very final stages of production".

The bid was looking forward to making its contents public next month after its submission to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Applicant cities for the 2020 Games, which also comprise Baku, Istanbul, Madrid, Rome and Tokyo, have until February 15 to submit their application files and guarantee letters to the IOC.

IOC President Jacques Rogge told insidethegames this month that Doha had been asked to answer a "supplementary" question.

Rogge said this question would cover what he termed "the temperature issue".

All bids would be analysed on "the same criteria", Rogge said.
