March 15 - Edgar Grospiron, the chief executive of Annecy 2018, was joined by fellow Olympic champions, including Antoine Dénériaz and Gwendal Peizerat, and Aimé Jacquet, the coach of the France's 1998 World Cup winning squad, to deliver the French city's Applicant File.

Grospiron, the first-ever Olympic moguls champion having claimed the gold medal at Albertville in 1992, was joined by a delegation headed by Annecy Mayor Jean-Luc Rigaut to deliver the File to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at its headquarters in Lausanne.

Annecy 2018 will host a press conference later this month to reveal more details of the bid, where they will face rivals Munich and Pyeongchang.

Meanwhile, Annecy is set to launch a "2018 Business Club" dedicated to raising financial support, during an official ceremony at the beginning of next month, with hundreds of chief executive from the French regional and national economy, which will also see messages of support from some of the country's best-known sportsmen and women, including former French captain Zinédine Zidane.

The completed questionnaire provides the IOC with an overview of each Applicant City’s project and is the key element in the first phase of the procedure leading to the election of the host city of the Olympic Winter Games in 2018.

The responses will now be studied by an IOC-appointed working group and a report made to the IOC Executive Board.

The Board will meet in June in Lausanne to decide which cities will be accepted as Candidate Cities.

The IOC is due to announce the host city at its Session in Durban on July 6, 2011.
