JULY 24 - MICHAEL GOVE, the local MP for Bisley, is leading a campaign for the shooting in the Olympics 2012 to be moved there from the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich.

April 29 - The Sportsman’s Association, formed in 1996 to oppose the ban on pistols, has launched a campaign to dissuade all UK shooters from assisting in the running of shooting events at the London 2012 Olympics.

March 18 - Barking today launched a final bid to host shooting at the 2012 Olympics as the Tories threw their support behind Bisley - but insidethegames understands the event will stay at its original location of Woolwich.

MAY 11 – LONDON officials have again insisted they will not move the controversial venue for the shooting in 2012 from Woolwich Artillery Barracks (pictured) despite new claims from the chairman of the Great Britain Target Shooting Federation that there are two venues which would be a better choice.
