Government agree to £438 million Olympic Park land transfer

July 8 - A £438 million ($664 million) deal to transfer the land the Olympic Park is currently being built on to the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) has been endorsed by the Government after they were warned they were endangering its future if they continued to delay.









Work hard, work hard, work hard, Rogge urges London 2012

July 5 - London 2012 officials were today urged to "work hard, work hard, work hard" by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge as he visited the capital to inspect preparations for the Olympics and Paralympics and to meet Britain's new Prime Minister David Cameron.



Brunei claims nothing stopping women competing at London 2012

July 5 - Female athletes from Brunei will be sent to the London 2012 Olympics as long as they are good enough, the Government have promised after they were criticised at the United Nations last week for being one of only three countries never to have sent women competitors to the Games.
