Strobl unveils Innsbruck 2012 medals

Innsbruck medalsDecember 6 - Fritz Strobl, the Austrian downhill gold medallist at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, has unveiled the medals for the first Winter Youth Olympic Games, taking place next month in Innsbruck.



Government increase security costs for London 2012 by £271 million

Hollingsworth hits back at results of Scope's Paralympic Games survey

Tim HollingsworthDecember 4 - Tim Hollingsworth, chief executive of the British Paralympic Association (BPA), has hit back at the results of a survey conducted by disability charity Scope, which claims that less than a quarter of disabled people and just 11 per cent of Britons overall are excited about the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
