Fennell to hold talks with Kalmadi tomorrow

October 28 - Mike Fennell (pictured), the President of the Commonwealth Games Federation (GCF), will  hold talks with Suresh Kalmadi, chairman of the New Delhi 2010 Games organising committee, tomorrow to try to resolve the row that is threatening to damage preparations for next year's event.

October 17 - Mike Fennell (pictured), the President of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), has backed his under-fire chief executive Mike Hooper and warned Indian officials that getting rid of him now could have catastrophic consequences for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

October 15 - A major row that threatens to further undermine the build-up for next year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi has broken out after Suresh Kalmadi, the head of the local Organising Committee, today called for the dismissal of Mike Hooper (pictured second right), the top official monitoring the preparations.



Bolt casts big doubt over 2010 Commonwealth Games

October 14 - Usain Bolt (pictured) has left a large question mark over whether the Commonwealth Games will figure in his schedule for the 2010 season by saying that he does not plan to compete in major championships because he needs an easy season to help him prepare for the London 2012 Olympics.
