kebedewinsApril 21 - Ethiopia's marathon reputation, which sank to a low point when all three male entrants at the London 2012 Olympics dropped out, was dramatically restored here as Tsegaye Kebede passed Kenya's Emmanuel Mutai in the last half-mile to win the 2013 Virgin London Marathon in 2 hours 6 minutes 4 seconds, with teammates Ayele Abshero and Feyisa Lilesa third and fourth respectively in 2:06:57 and 2:07:46.

Priscah JeptooApril 21 - Kenyan Priscah Jeptoo went one better than her London 2012 Olympic marathon silver medal to claim the women's title in the fastest time of the year so far as Olympic champion Tiki Gelana's chances of  victory were wiped out when she collided with Canada's 2010 wheelchair champion Josh Cassidy at the Virgin London Marathon here today.

mofarahApril 17 - Mo Farah's intention of running to the halfway point in the 2013 Virgin London Marathon as preparation for his full marathon debut there in 2014, criticised in some quarters, was fully supported here today by five runners who will head what is billed as "the greatest men's marathon field ever assembled" when the race gets underway on Sunday (April 21).
