The announcement brings the number of table tennis players in ParalympicsGB to 13 following the announcement of 10 players who had qualified by right in January this year.

The bipartite places will go to Scott Robertson (pictured), who will compete in the men's class 5, Aaron McKibbin, who will play in the men's class 8 and Victoria Bromley, who will participate in the women's class 11.

Robertson, a 35-year-old from Wales, has competed in the last three Paralympic Games with his professional highlight coming when he won a bronze in the men's team event at the 2005 European Championships in Italy

The 20-year-old McKibbin, who attends Loughborough College, will be making his Paralympic debut at London 2012 as will Wolverhampton's Bromley, who is eligible to compete at the Paralympics after the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) readmitted intellectual disability athletes to the Games in 2010 for the first time since Sydney 2000.

"This is great news for the three players involved, for the whole table tennis team and for ParalympicsGB," said ParalympicsGB Chef de Mission Craig Hunter.

"These players have trained very hard to get to this stage and it's great that their work has paid off with a bipartite slot".

The announcement is further good news for the British Paralympic Association (BPA), who announced earlier yesterday that it would be endorsing host country slots for goalball and women's sitting volleyball at London 2012, meaning that for the first time in recent history, Britain will have representation in every sport at the Paralympic Games.
